Web v/s Designing for print

What I got out of this part of our reading is that it is a lot more cost effective to use the web then it is to design for print. You have more options for color and imagination. Print is important because you can move around with it and take it places instead of carrying around a laptop but that is even changing with Nooks and Kindle fires. you can fit so much information on to a website for lower cost then trying to print out a 12 page brochure. You can also get your work to a larger audience. the web goes to the remote corners of the earth were your brochure may sit in a doctors office for the next year or two. Designing for print will have its advantages if cost is not an issue and the print tools are more advanced. but with the web you can add sound and animation as well as links to other important sites. the web I believe has a big advantage over print
